To require the Department of Consumer and Industry Services to develop and distribute standardized complaint forms for nursing home patients and their visitors. Current law requires the department to distribute a pamphlet outlining the procedure for filing a complaint, and requires nursing homes to make them available. The bill would require that the pamphlet be printed in large, easily readable type and in nontechnical, easily understood language. The new pamphlets would contain the standardized complaint form.
