2003 Senate Bill 703 ↩
House Roll Call 88:
Passed
To expand the allowable types of personal flotation devices that children age 12 and under must wear when riding on or being towed behind a personal watercraft, to include type III life vests. Current law only allows type I or type II devices for children. These are designed to turn some or all unconscious wearers to a face-up position in the water. Type III devices are designed to keep a conscious person in a vertical or slightly backward position.
