To revise the law which requires a minimum of 180 days of instruction in schools as a condition of state funding, to lower the requirement by 30 hours for a school that is closed due to "unusual and extenuating occurrences" such as severe roof damage. Also, to lower the requirement by 20 hours for a school that was closed in the 2003-2004 school year due to structural roof and truss damage.
