2004 House Bill 5666

Senate Roll Call 297: Passed

To revise the law which requires a minimum of 180 days of instruction in schools as a condition of state funding, to lower the requirement by 20 hours for a school that was closed in the 2003-2004 school year due to structural roof and truss damage (Kingsley school district). The bill also would lower the minimum school days requirement by 30 hours for any school in the future that is closed due to "unusual and extenuating occurrences" such as severe roof damage.
