2004 Senate Bill 1416 ↩
Senate Roll Call 768:
Passed
To revise the procedures for the approval of a plat a subdivision of land to allow a developer to request a preapplication review meeting with the local municipality and the different government authorities involved. The local government would then have to give a preliminary plat tentative approval within 60 days after the meeting. The bill would allow the various authorities required to review a preliminary plat to do so simultaneously, rather than one after the other. These include, where applicable, the county road commissioner, the county drain commissioner, the local health department, the Michigan Department of Transportation, and the Department of Environmental Quality.
