To eliminate the requirement to obtain a hunting license to transport firearms and bows, if they are locked in the trunk of a vehicle, or a location that is not readily accessible to any occupant of a vehicle, rather than the trunk. Under current law, a citation may be issued if a long rifle or bow is transported through an area populated by wild game and the owner does not have a hunting license.
