To adopt a version of the resolution that urges the federal government to investigate whether oil companies violate anti-trust laws, eliminate government subsidies for oil companies, and ease laws that require many different formulas of gasoline in different parts of the county. The substitute also criticizes Gov. Jennifer Granholm on the issue of inspecting gas station pumps for accuracy, and urges her to remove regulatory obstacles to new refineries in Michigan.
