To require the Department of Corrections to give the local law enforcement agency the address where a prisoner who is a sex offender and who is about to be released will reside. House Bill 5194 requires prisoners to report this to the department before they are released. The bills shift the responsibility for the notification from the individual to the Department of Corrections.
