To extend the sunset of the law that provides for reciprocal licensing of nurses licensed in Canada, from Jan. 1, 2007 to Jan. 1, 2012. The law authorizes a one-year temporary license while the individual takes the actions needed to get a Michigan license. The bill also establishes conditions that would allow reciprocal licensing for an individual subject to minor, temporary sanctions by another state for violations that do not involve patient safety.
