Senate Roll Call 742:
Passed
Prohibit a person from selling, offering for sale, or distributing an esophageal dilator, bougie tube or gastrointestinal tube that contains mercury, unless required by a Federal statute or regulation. Button cell battery would be exempt. The bill also defines "appliance" for purposes of exceptions to the mercury thermostat ban in Senate Bill 124. The definition would include a refrigerator, dehumidifier, freezer, oven, range, microwave oven, washer, dryer, dishwasher, trash compactor, window room air conditioner, television, or computer, but not a home heating or central air-conditioning system.
