To establish that townships have the authority to regulate activities at public boating access site owned by the Department of Natural Resources. sites on inland lakes or streams. However, the local regulations could not exceed the scope of those promulgated by the DNR. In other words, the bill in effect gives townships the authority to enforce DNR regulations, but not ones that are more stringent.
