2005 House Bill 4918 ↩
Senate Roll Call 940:
Passed
To revise the statute governing the State Officers Compensation Commission (SOCC), which determines salaries and expense allowances for legislators, the governor, the attorney general, the secretary of state, and the justices of the Supreme Court, so that it conforms with a recent change in the state constitution that prohibits any pay increases from going into effect unless both the House and Senate affirmatively votes to approve them. Previously, increases went into effect automatically unless they were voted down by both bodies.
