To revise statute to reflect a $42.4 million earmark in Fiscal Year 2005-2006 of the “Michigan Medicaid Quality Assurance Assessment” (MMQAA) bed tax on health care providers to the Department of Community Health to support Medicaid expenditures in hospitals. The effect of the bill would be to allow the department to keep an extra $4.2 million it collected in that year.
