2007 Senate Bill 403 ↩
House Roll Call 493:
Passed
To establish standards and procedures by which a student transferring to a public high school from a private or an out-of-state school could have some of the requirements of the new high school graduation requirements waived under some circumstances. The student would still have to have at least two years of equivalent standards, would have to take a math class in his or her last year of high school, and meet certain other conditions specified in the bill. The bill would also eliminate a provision that requires the Department of Education to develop tests of whether pupils have learned materials covered by state graduation requirements.
