2007 Senate Bill 593 ↩
House Roll Call 535:
Passed
To require licensure and regulation of tattoo parlors that perform tattooing, branding, or body-piercing ("body art"). The bill would impose fees of $500 for an initial three-year license; $300 for a three-year renewal; and $100 for a license to operate a facility at a fixed site for up to two weeks. Among other things the bill would require the owner or operator to maintain and make available to health departments a permanent record of each customer, including name, address, age, and signature; the date; the design and location of the tattooing, branding, or body-piercing, and more.
