2007 House Bill 4482 ↩
Senate Roll Call 132:
Passed
To revise certain provisions of the welfare reform law to specify that after the Department of Human Services has made an initial determination that an applicant might be eligible for welfare and is not exempt from "work first" participation, that individual would be required to participate in assigned work-related activities. Welfare cases would not have to opened before a potential recipient attends an orientation session and begins participation in work-related activities. The bill would eliminate a provision requiring the Department of Human Services to provide the orientation sessions on a weekly basis.
