2007 House Bill 4207 ↩
Senate Roll Call 157:
Passed
To eliminate the current requirement that foreign-educated nurses be certified by the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) before taking a standardized national examination that is already used by the state nursing board (the National Council of State Boards of Nursing test). Reportedly, the CGFNS certification process has become redundant. The bill would also a foreign-educated applicant to be licensed if they meet this requirement and are or have been licensed or registered in another state or country, jurisdiction, territory, and province where they are or had been licensed or registered.
