To revise the law specifying the forms and procedures to be used in the recording of deeds and other documents by registers of deeds. The bill would specify how electronic records should be processed and kept, and delete provisions related to paper recording forms and procedures. It would also allow a register to charge a fee for records searches, and grant civil immunity for employees of a register conducting or deciding whether to conduct a search.
