2008 Senate Bill 1096 ↩
House Roll Call 632:
Passed
The House-Senate conference report for the Fiscal Year 2008-2009 Department of Education budget. This would appropriate $95.1 million in gross spending, compared to $96.4 million, which was the FY 2007-2008 amount enrolled in 2007, and $94.7 million in Gov. Granholm’s recommendation, <a href="http://www.michiganvotes.org/2007-SB-51147">Senate Bill 1147</a>. Of this, $7.5 million will come from the general fund (funded by actual state tax revenues), compared to the FY 2007-2008 amount of $7.08 million. Another $6.980 million comes from state “restricted fund” revenue that is generated by various fees and other levies, and most of the balance ($70.6 million) is federal money.
