To extend for another year the loan/grant making authority of the “<a href="http://www.michiganvotes.org/2005-HB-5047">21st Century Jobs Fund</a>” granted by <a href="http://www.michiganvotes.org/2008-HB-6208">House Bill 6208</a>. This was intended to attract a couple firms that ultimately chose to locate in other states. This extension would authorize grants to three other particular firms. The bill would also authorize the “<a href="http://www.michiganvotes.org/2005-HB-5047">21st Century Jobs Fund</a>” to borrow and make loans or grants of up to $10 million annually to firms receiving Michigan Economic Growth Authority (MEGA) tax breaks for various job training expenses.
