To give the Department of Labor and Economic Growth the authority to increase without additional legislative authorization the recurring and initial licensure fees for plumbers. These future fee hikes would be indexed to the salary and compensation levels of government employees. The bill would immediately increase the license fees by various amounts, from $10 for apprentices to $100 for plumbing contractors. House bills 4844, 4846 and 4848 do the same thing with other professional licenses.
