To give the Department of Labor and Economic Growth the authority to increase without additional legislative authorization the recurring and initial licensure fees for electricians and alarm technicians. These future fee hikes would be indexed to the salary and compensation levels of department employees. The bill would immediately increase the fees by various amounts, from $10 for apprentices to $100 for contractors.
