To adopt a compromise version of the bill reported by a House-Senate conference committee. The final deal includes the original provisions of this bill (to transfer to a new regional Cobo authority $16 million in annual tobacco tax revenue money that would have gone to Detroit through 2016 to pay Cobo Hall bonds, and add another $15 million annually from 2016 through 2039), and converts the transfer of Cobo Hall to the authority into a 30 year lease.
