This would appropriate $6.9962 billion in gross spending, compared to $5.941 billion enrolled for the previous year. $5.921 billion of this budget is federal money (of which $775 million is “stimulus” deficit spending) compared to $4.974 billion the previous year. The budget adds hundreds of new child protective services workers due to a lawsuit settlement.
