The Senate version of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2011-2012 Department of Environmental Quality budget. This would appropriate $405.7 million in gross spending, compared to $395.6 million the previous year. Of this, $21.4 million will come from the general fund (funded by actual state tax revenues). Another $214.7 million comes from other state sources including permit fees, fines, borrowing (“bond sales”), etc. $159.7 million would come from the federal government.
