2014 House Bill 5444 ↩
House Roll Call 503:
Passed
To revise details of a state trust fund supports college or career training programs for foster care children who “age out” of the system. The bill would cap the administrative expenses the Fund could incur, transfer management of the money from a board to the Department of Treasury, and require the department to “collaborate” with state colleges and universities to “assist current and former foster care students who have unmet financial education needs and assist in the effort to create sustainable futures for those foster care students”.
