To revise rules and procedures used by the state’s unemployment insurance program to address the problem of impostors claiming and getting benefits. This bill would remove a ban on an employer or claimant accused of fraud getting advocacy assistant services from the agency in charge of this system, but make them pay for the assistance if fraud turns out to have been committed. The bill is part of a legislative package comprised of House Bills 5165 to 5172.
