To revise a law that permits notary publics to perform “notarial acts” by electronic means, by requiring the notary to adopt “tamper evident technology” for this, and requiring the Secretary of State and the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget to review and approve technologies that notaries may use for this. The systems approved would have to meet requirements specified in the bill.
