2017 House Bill 4422 ↩
Senate Roll Call 230:
Passed
To extend until July 1, 2021 a law that allows a “retired” school employee to work as a substitute teacher or coach and still collect a pension and post-retirement health insurance benefits in addition to the substitute or coaching pay. Also, to do the same for a retired school employee who takes a job as a "school renewal coach or high impact leadership facilitator" funded by federal grant. The bill would also eliminate a requirement that, in the case of retired employees who return to work as substitute teachers, the district make certain related contributions to the school employee pension fund.
