To grant state pensions equal to 45 percent of their final base pay for Michigan National Guard "Adjutant Generals" and Assistant Adjutant Generals. Under current law, these officials get a state pension equal to 2.5 percent their final pay times their years of Michigan service, and also get a federal pension (which would remain). The Senate Fiscal Agency estimates this will add $2.5 million to the pension system's liabilities.
