2020 House Bill 5414 ↩
Senate Roll Call 175:
Passed
To revise the definition of “telemedicine” services in the state mental health code, by replacing a requirement that a patient be able to interact with the off-site health care professional at the time the services are provided with a provision allowing “store and forward” online messaging (see House Bill 5415). Michigan’s extensive medical licensure and regulatory regimes for the most part restricts this means of getting care, primarily by limiting what actions providers in other states may take without a Michigan license.
