To permit a county board of commissioners to establish a county mental health transportation panel comprised of specified officials and individuals representing specified interests, for the purpose of establishing an alternative to using peace officers (police) to transport individuals with severe mental illness for involuntary hospitalization. The bill would also authorize counties contracting with a private service to do this.
