Introduced
by
To expand the parking offences that a local government may use volunteers to enforce. Currently they can enforce handicap parking and firelane violation. The bill would allow them to enforce these additional things: parking on a sidewalk or crosswalk, in front of a public or private driveway, within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, parking where an official sign prohibits stopping, parking or restricting the period of time.
