Substitute offered

To replace the previous version of the bill with one that would permit an authorized emergency vehicle to be equipped with flashing, rotating, or oscillating green lights, for use only when that vehicle was the on-site command vehicle at the scene of an emergency. It would also permit vehicles used to perform public utility service, trash collection, highway repair and maintenance, or snow removal; vehicles used by peace officers, rural letter carriers, or newspaper delivery people; and implements of husbandry, certain military vehicles, and vehicles escorting or transporting an oversized load--to display white, as well as amber, flashing, rotating or oscillating lights.
