2002 House Bill 5734 ↩
Senate Roll Call 1054:
Passed
To change the way that diesel fuel tax is collected so that the entire amount is collected at the pump just like the gasoline tax. Currently, nine-cents is collected at the pump, and six-cents-per-dollar sales tax is collected on those fuel purchases as well. Another 12-cents is collected in quarterly payments mailed into the state, less a six-cents per gallon credit against the sales tax paid at the pump, making the net diesel fuel tax 15-cents a gallon.
