2004 House Bill 5630 ↩
House Roll Call 831:
Passed
To revise the makeup of the board of the Detroit-Wayne County Community Mental Health Agency (DWCCMH). Currently, the board consists of 12 members, six of whom are appointed by the city of Detroit and six by Wayne County. The bill would give Wayne County a seventh member. The DWCCMH annually serves some 75,000 mentally ill and disabled people, and spends about $530 million, more than $500 million of which is state and federal Medicaid dollars. The vote by which the bill was passed was reconsidered, however, and postponed indefinately.
