2005 Senate Bill 224

Senate Roll Call 191: Passed

To require that at least 55 percent of the loans the state Broadband Development Authority issues go to "rural underserved areas," defined as a county with a population under 70,000 in areas of the state "having the greatest need for broadband development." This would not apply if there were not sufficient qualified applications for the money.
