The House-Senate conference report for the Fiscal Year 2008-2009 community colleges budget. This would appropriate $299.3 million in gross spending, compared to $318.9 million, which was the FY 2007-2008 amount enrolled in 2007 (that amount included a $25 million delayed disbursement from the previous year’s appropriation). This budget is all general fund money (funded by actual state tax revenues). Overall operations funding grants to community colleges would rise by 2 percent, with each school’s share determined by a political formula.
